레이시아에 오신 걸 환영합니다! (Welcome to Malaysia!) The University Malaysia of Computer Science & Engineering (UNIMY) is thrilled to welcome students from Dong-Eui University, Busan, South Korea, as part of the International Student Exchange Mobility (ISEM-Inbound) Programme.

Greeting our international guests was Prof. Salwani Binti Mohd Daud, Vice Chancellor of UNIMY, who warmly welcomed the group of 20 participants from Dong-Eui University. This marks their first visit to Malaysia where they will be going through a specially crafted English Summer Camp that is filled with games, activities and learning opportunities.

The English Summer Camp

The English Summer Camp, a special month-long programme, aims to enhance the English language proficiency of these international students, combining classroom instruction with enriching cultural activities, providing an in-depth learning experience.

At the heart of the English Summer Camp are intensive English language classes tailored to meet the needs of non-native speakers. These classes focus on improving speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. The curriculum is designed to be interactive and engaging, ensuring that students not only learn, but also enjoy the process.

Experienced instructors will use various teaching methods, including group discussions, presentations and practical exercises, to create an immersive learning environment for our guest students.

Diverse Workshops and Cultural Immersion

In addition to language classes, the camp offers a wide array of cultural activities aimed at providing students with a deeper understanding of our Malaysian culture. These activities include traditional dance workshops, culinary experiences, and visits to historical sites. By participating in these activities, students can practice their English in real-world contexts, enhancing their communication skills and Malaysian cultural norms.

The "workshop" part of the programme includes a series of sessions covering key topics such as Introduction to Cyber Security, Python, Microbits and Robotics. These workshops are designed to equip students with essential skills in today's digital world.

Additionally, study visits to relevant companies and factories have been arranged, offering students practical insights into the industry. To further enrich their experience, sightseeing tours will introduce students to our diverse and vibrant culture.

This Summer Camp programme is another significant part of UNIMY's international initiatives, highlighting the university's commitment to creating vast global connections. The exchange programme not only provides valuable educational opportunities but also promotes cultural understanding and international cooperation as well.
