Mastering Your Resume with Skills Club
BAC's Skills Club is dedicated to equipping all BAC Education students with the essential skills needed for success in life. The club focuses on key areas including life skills, career development, technology, and business.
Recently, the Skills Club hosted "Resume Mastery: Your Path to Career Advancement" to equip students with the skills needed to write a compelling resume and earn great jobs in their fields.
Three guest speakers were invited to impart their knowledge to the students: Jackie Urban Poh, Talent Management Specialist and Recruitment Manager at JobsBAC, Andrew Kalish, Chief Legal Officer of BAC Education, and Timothy Chan, CEO of IACT College.
Jackie Poh spoke to the students about the best format for a resume, showing different examples of a good resume, and the elements required to attract the attention of recruiters. Andrew Kalish shared about career development pathways and what part of it is necessary to include in your resume. Timothy Chan shared about the best way to market yourself and how that translates into an effective and attention grabbing resume.
Once the three speakers finished speaking, participants were asked questions, and given the opportunity to seek clarifications that would help them level up their resume based on their personal experiences.
The event was a beneficial one for those who were able to join, allowing for students to be equipped with the tools they need to enter the workforce.
