K-Pop Random Play Dance by BAC
Performing Arts Club
Never miss a chance to dance.
The BAC Performing Arts Club has been nurturing talent in dance with their continuous dance workshops on different topics like K-Pop, Urban Dance, and choreography. This time, they decided to bring out the talent in students by organising their very own K-Pop Random Play Dance event.
Random Play Dance is a flash mob event, primarily related to K-Pop, where newbies and experts alike can jump in the ring to showcase their skills in dancing to well-known choreography. It's since become a fixture at every K-Pop related event. Here's one example:
BACPAC's edition of the K-Pop Random Play Dance event featured students from various courses, displaying various skills levels. Some of the participants were even members of the BACPAC dance crew, BeWILD. Judging the event was Shubashini (Sam) Karunakarn, BAC's Social Media Executive and staff advisor of BACPAC, skilled in girlstyle dance, Eric Lim from BAC Learn, who is skilled in hip-hop dance, and Claudia Yap, leader of BeWILD, skilled in K-Pop dance.
Songs featured at the event were well known K-Pop songs like Armageddon by Aespa, Bang Bang Bang by Bigbang, Kill This Love by Blackpink, Magnetic by Illit, Flower by Jisoo and Gangnam Style by PSY. The playlist prepared by BACPAC included songs well known by most K-Pop afficionados. In between two of the rounds, BeWILD took the stage to show off their moves! They danced their hearts out, hyping the crowd up for the final round. The final round saw the dancers give their all, dancing with passion and enjoyment, and capturing the attention of the audience.
Before the results were announced, the judges took to the stage to show everyone how it's done! They gave a masterful performance, worthy of their titles as judges for the event. Once they had finished their performance, they announced the MVPs of the event:
- Saw Jit Keat (who is also a member of BeWILD!)
- Cheong Chien Hui
- Jagdish Singh A/L Balveer Singh
Congratulations to all MVPs and good job to all dancers! It was an enjoyable event, with new talent being discovered within the student body of BAC.
