Blazing the EduTech Trail
Presented by the Asian Business Review, the Malaysian Technology Excellence Award (MTEA) seeks to recognise the accomplishments of businesses across the nation, who are spearheading technological innovation in the new Digital Age, to help bring growth to our nation's economy.
This year, the MTEAs were held at the luxurious InterContinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, and presented in conjunction with the Malaysia International Business Awards and the Malaysia National Business Awards 2023. Each of the nominees are evaluated on a series of criteria, by a panel of expert judges.
This year, BAC Education was honoured to receive the award for Best Online Services - Education, for the third consecutive year! Chief Digital Officer, Jennifer Low, received the award on behalf of BAC Education.
Over the years, we have been steadily improving usage of data analytics to improve student engagement, and the efficiency of our business operations. Data-analytics has become an integral part of our ecosystem, and helps us to make informed strategic decisions. From marketing and talent management, to developing targeted plans to aid our students in their academics, our innovations with data analytics has pushed us to the forefront of online education in the digital age.
Upon receiving the reward, Ms. Low humbly expressed her gratitude to our students and their families for their immeasurable support, and to our staff, for their hard work and commitment to delivering world-class online education.
"One of the great things about technology is that it allows us to reach students who might otherwise be left behind. By making education more accessible and inclusive, we can help create a more equitable society where everyone has the opportunity to succeed," said Ms Low.
"To quote George Couros, the author of The Innovator's Mindset, 'Technology will never replace great teachers, but technology in the hands of great teachers is transformational!'" continued Ms Low. "It's exciting to see the impact we can make when we combine the power of technology with great teaching."
"One of the things I appreciated most about working on BAC's online education resources was the emphasis on innovation. We, at BAC Education, are always seeking out new ways to enhance our students' learning experience, and ensure our content remains current and relevant. It was inspiring to be part of a team that was dedicated to pushing the boundaries of online education."
