BAC Leo Club Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Halloween-Themed Dinner Bash
On 2nd November, 2024, the BAC Leo Club marked its 10th anniversary with a lively Halloween-themed dinner at BACPAC. With over 80 attendees, including members dressed in creative Halloween costumes, the celebration was both a festive and sentimental event, commemorating a decade of service, leadership and community impact.
Distinguished guests included prominent figures from the Lions Club and senior leaders from BAC, including President Lion Alwin Ng, District Governor Lion Cassie Lim, BAC Education’s Chief Future Officer Raja Singham and several past and present Lions and Leo leaders from the community.
The celebration began with the Leo Pledge, followed by a warm welcome from Leo President Wong Lai Kuan. She expressed gratitude, highlighting the growth and achievements of the club and the dedication of its members to making a positive difference.
Raja Singham, reflecting on the club’s formation, emphasised BAC's support for the Leo Club’s initiatives, especially its focus on uplifting underprivileged communities. He proudly noted the club’s recent honor: the International Kindness Matters Award for their impactful "Zoom In" project, making BAC Leo Club the only recipient from Malaysia and Brunei.
Entertainment for the night included a dance performance by BAC’s Performing Arts Club and a video montage of the Leo Club’s memorable projects and milestones. Immediate Past District Governor Lion Alex Ooi, the club’s founding advisor, paid tribute to past presidents and current leaders, creating a nostalgic atmosphere for alumni and former members. Lion Alwin Ng commended the enduring partnership between BAC and the Leo Club, while District Governor Lion Cassie Lim extended appreciation to Jia Wei, the head of the event committee, for orchestrating the memorable celebration.

The evening featured a cake-cutting ceremony, a best-dressed contest and a lucky draw, bringing joy and excitement to all attendees. Organizing chairperson Jia Wei concluded the event with a heartfelt thank-you to everyone for their support in making the night a success.
