The BAC Education Group is delighted to announce the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with LUSH Malaysia. The signing ceremony took place on September 6th, 2023, at the BAC Flagship Campus in Petaling Jaya, marking a significant milestone for both LUSH and BAC Education.

LUSH Malaysia's Director, Harvinder Harchand, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "We choose things that not only benefit the company, but the environment and animals. That's why we chose to partner with BAC Education. They have a stellar reputation for quality and ethical education."

This groundbreaking MOU will offer students unparalleled access to exclusive internships at LUSH Malaysia, a company renowned for its commitment to sustainability and ethical practices. Harvinder emphasised, "All our interns are paid fairly and receive a minimum wage. We are dedicated to providing them with the best experience and valuable industry knowledge."

Internships and workshops are the perfect way for students to gain industry knowledge and skills that sets them apart from the competition when it comes to applying for a job," remarked Raymond Markus Maskrin (Head, School of Business, Communication & Law for Veritas University College).

"This collaboration with LUSH Malaysia will help our students build upon their academic skills with an enhanced understanding of how businesses work and the industry culture. This insight is incredibly valuable when first starting out in their career, as well as being a fun experience!” he continued.

The partnership between BAC Education Group and LUSH Malaysia has already generated excitement among students. Liew Swee Wah, a third-year law student from the University of London, shared her thoughts on the collaboration, saying, "It was amazing, and I learned so much about plastic pollution and its impact on our planet. Ms. Harvinder's speech was enlightening, and I am eager to contribute to protecting the environment, preserving animal life, and reducing pollution. I hope that LUSH Malaysia will offer internships for law students interested in fashion, beauty, and health. I am also deeply grateful to BAC for providing us students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the products we use daily and for connecting us with inspirational companies and brands."

Sivaani Kumar, a student pursuing the UK Transfer Degree Programme (Business), said, "I just learned that LUSH products are very eco-friendly, and I really enjoyed the workshops. I'm looking forward to more workshops like these." 

 Mehakpreet Kaur, an A-Level Arts student, expressed her excitement about the partnership, saying, "I found it fascinating to learn that LUSH uses recycled plastics in their products and packaging. The workshop was an exciting experience, and making a bath bomb was really cool. I have a strong interest in beauty and skincare, so having the opportunity to intern with LUSH will be both fun and educational. I'm sure I will learn a lot!" 

The MOU Ceremony culminated in a delightful and interactive session where students and staff had the opportunity to participate in bath bomb and bubble bar making workshops led by the experienced LUSH team.
