It may have bene world champion boxer and Philippines boxing legend Manny Pacquiao’s final match but he’s far from hanging up his boxing gloves for good. His next goal is free universal education for all.

In collaboration with Malaysia’s leading higher education institution, Brickfields Asia College, the proceeds from the sale of 100 tickets for PacMan’s highly anticipated match against Argentina’s world champion Lucas Matthysse was channelled to BACfreeschool.com, a not-for-profit initiative that provides free online educational content and services for students from Standard 1 to Form 5.

“We are delighted to sponsor Team Manny Pacquiao to provide free education for all. At the BAC Education Group, we believe in the power of education to change lives and we’re hoping to send this message to everyone following this match,” said Mr. Raja Singham, founder of BACfreeschool.com. “Through BACfreeschool, we aim to provide access to quality education for all students, including underprivileged communities and refugees. Collaborative efforts, such as this, will go a long way to support the development of education in Malaysia, one student at a time.”

“Uplifting children with universal access to education is a cause very close to Manny’s heart, especially given his own history and upbringing,” said Team Manny Pacquiao. “It is our privilege to associate this event with such an impactful cause and we are happy to contribute towards education equity one punch at a time.”
