“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others” - Mahatma Gandhi

Following its ethos of giving back, the BAC Education Group has transformed the lives of more than 500,000 people from B40 communities at PPRs, UNHCR refugees, migrant workers, persons with disabilities, Orang Asli Settlements, to islanders in Sabah and in households headed by women. This spirit of service to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate, stems from our “Impact” pillar, one of the four pillars of the “Learn Different” philosophy.

Learn Different

Learn Different is the ultimate next gen holistic education experience designed to prepare you for the challenges of tomorrow. The 4 pillars (Learn, Play, Work, and Impact) have been curated to help you become the best version of yourself and own your future.

“Impact” is about making a difference in the lives of the less fortunate in our communities. Every student in every one of our colleges and university college has the opportunity to work on community service projects in their General Studies Subject (Mata Pelajaran Umum). To date, hundreds of our students have made an impact in the less fortunate by giving back through community service.

Many people are not aware of the trials and challenges faced by the marginalized and vulnerable communities in their midst. More still are not aware about what they can do to help.

So initiatives and class community projects give every student the opportunity to serve. In serving in the numerous projects, our students have not only brought relief through their efforts, but their experience and exposure has taught them compassion, empathy and the immense value of giving back.

Over the past two years, the BAC Education Group has launched 10 significant projects to bring relief and recovery to vulnerable communities in Malaysia.

Projects like these are an ongoing feature in the BAC Education Group calendar, and have been since our inception. Our efforts in giving back have been recognised by ASEAN culminating in being awarded the ASEAN Business Award for Corporate Social Responsibility for 5 consecutive years. We do not view these wins as feathers in our cap. They affirm that our effort in bringing relief to the underprivileged and vulnerable communities, with the participation of our students is a move in the right direction. For our students are leaders of the future and it is up to us to help them become wholesome individuals, not just to excel in education, but to embrace society and play a role in the transformation of the less fortunate.
