KUALA LUMPUR – The BAC Education Group is honoured to collaborate with Hong Leong Group Bhd’s new innovative hub, known as Hong Leong Xchange (HLX), to lead certification and talent upskilling programmes with the aim of building Malaysia’s first tech start-up ecosystem.
The one-stop facility centre touted as an innovation incubator will focus on innovation with an emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI)/High Performance Computing (HPC), fintech, and Industry 4.0.
“With HLX, we are bringing together the corporates and start-ups in a unique two-way exchange to give further impetus to Malaysia’s economy”, said Mohd Reezan Mohd Fadzil, General Manager of HLX.
The project which is also a private-public partnership with Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), will be developed in two phases and is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2020.
In relation to capacity building, the HLX Academy will be leveraging on industry experts such as the BAC Education Group and the BAC TwistCode. “This strategic partnership is in line with our Group’s mission to bridge the gap between industry requirements and the current existing skill sets in the market”, said Navin Manghan, Senior Manager, Business Development, BAC Education Group.
Present at the launch was Minister of Communications and Multimedia, YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo and HLX tech and talent partners such as Twistcode Technologies, Islamic Fintech Hub, Ficus Venture Capital & Helios Orion, BAC Education Group, 1337 Ventures and CXS.
