A-Level (Arts); Economics

University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is the world’s largest provider of international qualifications. The CIE A-Level programme is the most widely recognized Pre-University qualification in the world.

 

Students in over 150 countries pursue CIE examinations each year to gain entry into prestigious universities worldwide, including those in the UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

Brickfields Asia College (BAC), a Cambridge International Associate Partner is proud to offer the CIE A Level programme which would enable students to progress into degrees in Accounting, Business Management, Commerce, Economics, Finance, ITC, Communication, Law, Marketing and Mass Communication amongst others.

 

BAC has been delivering the CIE A Level programme for over 20 years and its team of experienced and dedicated lecturers helped the college gain the distinction of being the Malaysian institution with the highest number of top students in the World Outstanding Cambridge A2 Learner Awards in 2013.

 

Programme Details

Students have the option to choose from the:

Express Route

Intakes: January

This route is specifically designed to enable students to graduate up to 2 years earlier than their peers. In just 11 months, students will complete 2 subjects (Law and Economics) and obtain the necessary qualifications to enroll in any of the over 100 degrees offered at BAC.

Standard Route

Intakes:

- Full-time: January, April & June

- Part-time: February, June & September

This A-Level route allows students to pursue either 2, 3 or 4 subjects to be completed within an 18-month period. Students may choose from the following subjects:

  • Accounting
  • Business Studies
  • Economics
  • English Literature
  • Law
  • Mathematics

Modules and Learning:

The Cambridge A-Level programme is broken into 2 stages namely the Advanced Subsidiary (AS) and the Advanced (A2) Level.

The Cambridge AS and A2 Level examinations are conducted in May/June and October/November each year. Results for these examinations are released in August and January respectively.

Entry requirements

  • 5 SPM credits (Including English)
  • Trial Examinations/Forecast results are accepted
