BAC Lauded with Corporate Social Responsiblity Award
Petaling Jaya, June 3, 2016: Brickfields Asia College wins The Company of the Year Award (SME Category) for championing corporate social responsibility initiatives by CSR Malaysia magazine – a CSR publication by RHA Media Sdn Bhd. This award has set the right tone for The Make It Right Movement (formerly BAC Gives Back), uniting the grass root community together with the public via development-involving interventions. The awards ceremony (CSR Awards) was held June 2nd at The Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur where the company also emerged as the only educational institution to win such an award.
According to RHA Media, the organizers of the event, the objective of the awards is to promote CSR initiatives in the social development of Malaysia.
Reacting to being presented the award, the Head of Community Development, The Make It Right Movement, Brian Lariche, said “We are honored to receive this award. This work is all about improving lives and we are very fortunate to work with strong partners – organizations in our effort to just make things right for everyone. Together with them, we have implemented the excellent work that has enabled us to win this award”.
The awards ceremony was attended by a number of industry experts, corporations and dignitaries, including the representative from the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development Malaysia and other recognized members of the society who are active players in the community.
