WAO – “Can You Keep A Secret?” Exhibition

The Women’s Aid Organisation (WAO) and BAC have worked closely on many initiatives that are intended to benefit women in Malaysia, especially women who find themselves in abusive circumstances. BAC was once again a proud partner and sponsor of the Can You Keep a Secret exhibition. The exhibition was held at Black Bridge, Level G3 at Publika.

Aimed at educating the public on domestic violence, the ceramic works depict the real stories of survivors. They were busts of women with a message inside each bust that detail the women’s real thoughts.

Viewers are encouraged to examine the survivors’ thoughts and experiences. The exhibition highlights the need for bystanders to stand up and speak out about domestic violence. The ceramic works are made by artist James Seet from Arc Worldwide.

After its run at Publika the exhibition was also set up in the Gardens, Midvalley and was there for a week also. BAC is a proud partner of WAO in the battle against domestic abuse against women and intends to take the busts on a tour to more areas in the future.
