Gigfairy Live! Celebrating Malaysian Music
If music be food for the soul, it’s going to be quite the feast at Gigfairy Live this month. A thrilling line-up of top Malaysian acts appear on the bill including Sona One, Resh, De Fam, Paperplane Pursuit, DJ Biggie, and many more, promising a mixed bag of awesome music.
Currently working on their fourth full length album, Paperplane Pursuit took to the skies in 2006 and have since conquered the radio waves with their award-winning electro-pop sound. Cracking the Billboard Indicator Chart Top 40 with their hit, Feel Good, Malaysia's favourite pop trio are flying ever closer to international fame.
Rising hip hop head, Mikael Adam Lozach, aka SonaOne, was born in Pahang to a French father and Malaysian mother. With his killer hooks and lyrical flair, his single No More picked up Best Song at the Anugerah Industri Muzik last December; the first English track in the award show’s two-decade history to do so and a major landmark for the rapper. His popularity and army of fans continues to grow.
Tipped to become the next big thing, Dinesh Kumar, known to many as DJ Biggie is one of the youngest DJs to have gained stardom in Malaysia. From turntabling at underground gigs to opening international concerts and winning finalist positions in DJ battles, Biggie’s tremendously diverse talent is celebrated far and wide. His combination of charisma, beat juggling skills and penchant for performing live have propelled him to superstardom.
These are just a few of the music powerhouses that will fire up the night at this concert that promises more than just music. All this is thanks to the community marketplace, Gigfairy, where a common platform for musicians, artists and promoters connect to help users book bands or artists while simultaneously creating opportunities for musicians to do what they love – rock out!
