Celebrating Friendship – BAC Challenges Buddy Day 2015
Isn’t it more fun to run and walk with a buddy? That’s exactly what 500 people did at the BAC Challenges Buddy! The participants, ran or walked in pairs to promote inclusivity at the BAC Challenges Buddy Day that was held on Sunday, August 2nd at Dataran Merdeka.
Brickfields Asia College (BAC) in collaboration with Challenges Media organised an inaugural event which was held in conjunction with International Friendship Day. BAC Challenges Buddy Day 2015 was an inclusive day out in Kuala Lumpur that used friendship to cement and promote this relationship between society and the special needs community.
BAC students Amanda Kong Hwei Zhen, Jason Tang Kah Hung and Jessie Low Fang Jun were amongst the participants at the Buddy Walk. Jason and Jessie recently graduated with Second Class LLB (Hons) from the University of Hertfordshire while Amanda is set to transfer to the University of Liverpool come September.
When interviewed, Amanda said challenges came in waves, but she was determined to ride out the rough times. “The one thing that BAC has taught me is that if you are a hard working student, anything is possible” continued Amanda
