BAC awarded SME Recognition Award for Corporate Social Responsibility!
In early December 2014, BAC was awarded the SME Recognition Award for Corporate Social Responsibility. This recognition was bestowed in honour of the college’s reputation for developing sustainable educational programmes in line with its vision of “empowering Malaysians via education”.
BAC’s Chief Operations Officer Aria Singham who received the award on behalf of BAC, said the college was delighted to be the only tertiary educational institution to receive the SMERA 2014 for Social Responsibility Excellence. “It’s fantastic to receive for Corporate Social Responsibility as we (BAC) believe that education should be accessible to all and that it should be administered to serve the wider community. With the aspiration of educating Malaysians to be adaptable, reflective and resourceful individuals, we have several education-based CSR initiatives dedicated to improving lives through education.”
The SMI Association of Malaysia (SMIA) encourages excellence by providing official recognition for the achievements of the SMEs through its annual SME Recognition Award Series. The SME Recognition Award for Social Responsibility Excellence is bestowed on non-listed SMEs that make a lasting impact on the community that they are working in.
